Texas
Donor
Network

Established in 2018, Texas Donor Network was built on the belief that families and healthcare providers in the Rio Grande Valley deserved dedicated, locally rooted tissue donation services. As the first FDA-registered organization of its kind in the region, we are proud to fulfill that purpose every day.

In 2019, we expanded our reach by welcoming our second health system partner, followed by the launch of

our birth tissue program in 2021. Closing out 2023, we achieved a significant clinical milestone by completing our first heart-for-valve recovery. As our community presence and operations continued to grow, we outgrew our former space at 1706 E. Tyler Ave, Suite 9, prompting a permanent move into our own dedicated office building in 2024.
Our commitment to rigorous standards and expanded capabilities continued in 2025 with achieving official AATB (Association for Advancing Tissue and Biologics) certification. Entering 2026, our capabilities expanded further with the launch of our ocular recovery program, shipping our first tissue internationally, and welcoming our third major hospital system.

Throughout our journey, our core mission remains unchanged. Partnered with hospitals throughout the Rio Grande Valley, our work is dedicated to improving lives by providing donated tissues for transplantation, research, therapy, and education. Our compassionate Family Service Coordinators walk alongside families through consultation and education, offering empathetic support during life's most meaningful moments. From there, our highly skilled Recovery Team recovers these gifts with the utmost professionalism and respect, ensuring that every donor and their loved ones are given the highest consideration in honoring final arrangements.
